The University of Santiago de Compostela, which consists of the campuses in Santiago de Compostela and Lugo, is a public institution for higher education and research that is endowed with autonomy, full legal personality, and its own legacy. It assumes and fulfills its functions as a vital public service to the community through study, teaching, research, and knowledge transfer.
Comprising two campuses in Santiago and Lugo, the University of Santiago de Compostela is organized into fifty departments, twenty-three faculties, three schools, university research centers, and doctoral schools. Similar to other universities, USC offers a variety of management and administrative services to support research and teaching initiatives in addition to other community-focused offerings.
