University of Mannheim
For generations, the University of Mannheim has been preparing students to take on leadership roles in business, academia, and society. One of the university’s strengths in this task is its profile, which is characterized by the economic and social sciences. It is in these fields that the University of Mannheim has repeatedly been ranked as one of the top 20 European research institutions.
Staff members at six schools and departments teach and carry out research in Business Administration, Economics, the Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, and Business Informatics and Mathematics. Exchange students must take the majority of their courses at the school in which they will enroll. However, they can also choose one or two courses from other schools through the university-wide electives.
The main campus of the University of Mannheim is a beautiful Baroque palace which is centrally located in downtown Mannheim. The city is the nexus of several major train routes and only 30 minutes from Frankfurt international airport, making it the perfect vantage point to explore the rest of Germany.
