UCL

UCL is consistently ranked as one of the top ten universities in the world (QS World University Rankings 2010-2027) and No.2 in the UK for research power in the Research Excellence Framework 2021.

Students usually need to take at least 50% of their courses within their admitting department, but may choose up to 50% as electives from other departments (subject to availability, course tutor approval and meeting any prerequisites). There are however some instances where 100% of courses must be taken within the admitting department.

If you're coming to study abroad for the full year, you'll be guaranteed a place in UCL accommodation as long as you have firmly accepted your offer to study at UCL and applied for accommodation by the deadline. Students coming to UCL for less than a full year will normally be allocated housing, but this cannot be guaranteed.
