UGA
The University of Georgia, the state’s largest public research university, is located in Athens (formally known as Athens-Clarke County). The University of Georgia campus spans both the centuries and much of Athens-Clarke County's geography, from historic North Campus now in its third century to state-of-the-art research, cultural, and sports facilities to the south and east.

UGA is one of the top public universities in US, offering more than 170 fields of study and majors distributed in 17 colleges and schools, which means UGA students have a world of options for their academic plans.

International exchange students are assigned to one of UGA’s newest residence hall communities, the East Campus Village (ECV) or Brown Hall. Apartments in ECV each have 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with each student having her/his own bedroom. International students typically share apartments with one other exchange student and two other degree-seeking students. Rooms in Brown Hall are double in a suite with a shared bathroom.
