Today, the emphasis of Moscow State University is on advancing applied science: new materials, genetics, biomedicine, pharmaceutics, cognitive sciences, ecology, and information technologies.

We work hard to preserve our heritage and develop our traditions of a comprehensive approach to higher education and science. Moscow University is consistently ranked as the top university in Russia and is placed 115th in the QS World University Rankings 2027.

Exchange and visiting students can apply for on-campus accommodation in accordance with the inter-university agreement. Students who wish to learn Russian will have to take a test in Russian. Based on its results student will be granted a number of free Russian language classes. ECTS credits are awarded for the course.
