Monash University is a public research university based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The university was founded in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the state.
Monash is home to major research facilities, including the Law School, the Australian Synchrotron, the Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), the Australian Stem Cell Centre, Victorian College of Pharmacy, and 100 research centres.
Monash has the most applicants in the state of Victoria. As a member of Australia's Group of Eight research universities, Monash is ranked 42nd by the QS World University Rankings 2024. Exchange students can choose units that are related to your degree back home or units that are completely different as long as meeting the academic requirements and prerequisites for each unit.
